Taylor's Beauty Rituals
Corie had the idea for everyone to post their fave beauty tricks/secrets.
So, here are mine! Keep it going bloggers!
#1 My eyebrows are the thing on my face that I take the MOST time with. I am really picky about the way they're shaped and have a really hard time finding a waxer who I like and trust. Because of that, I've been using nair for your face for YEARS now! The last good waxer I had was in Flagstaff, so it's been more than 2 years since my last eyebrow wax. I break a qtip in half and use the non-cotton part to slowly and carefully apply the face nair! It smells awful but gives me the perfect arch. I also use Anastacia brow powder. It's super light for my see through brows and fair skin.
#2 I'm a Mary Kay girl! When I first started wearing make up in 7th grade my grandma took me for a consult and I've been using their products in one way or another ever since. I love how mild their cleansers and moisturizers are. Their eye make up remover can't be beat.
#3 I've been using Jergens body lotion forever. I love the clean smell.
#4 When applying anything around my eyes I only use my ring finger. It's the weakest finger on your hand, so there's less pulling and tugging on your skin.
#5 I, like Corie, only put my make up on in natural light. When I do it in artificial light I look SO chalky. I spread a big towel on my bed every morning and face my bedroom window to apply the goods.
#6 I wear sunscreen on my face and chest EVERY day. I am so fair and freckle easily AND my cousin died this summer of melanoma...so skin cancer prevention is a huge priority.
#7 I shave using conditioner instead of shaving cream. It leaves your skin really soft!
#8 I love RevitaLash! It is very expensive but lasts forever and really makes your lashes grow! Mine are almost touching my eyebrow now. It's crazy.
#9 I've been using Revlon Raven Red on my toes for as long as I can remember. It's a great deep red color and if it is every discontinued I will cry.
#10 I sleep on satin pillowcases every night. I still have all of the pillowcases my great grandma made me. :) She embroidered by initial on all of them. They say they prevent face wrinkles! The botox also helps. ;)

Taylor Needs....
Megan posted this one on her blog and I thought it was too funny to pass up.
So here's how it works. You Google your first name plus the word 'needs' and post the first ten on the list. For example, I typed "Taylor needs" and this is what I got............
1) Taylor needs to stop talking. I think my Taste of the Nation committee can agree with this one!
2) Taylor needs to practice his spitting. Ew! I don't spit.
3) Taylor needs a reliable partner because when she trusted "relations and friends" in the past, she was "rewarded with deceit, betrayal, insincerity and wastage.” Holla! This one is from Elizabeth Taylor. <3>
4) Taylor needs a swift kick. Sometimes. :)
5) Taylor needs our help and support. Always!
6) Taylor needs to make it four in a row! This could either apply to tequila shots I'll be taking when this stressful day is over....OR connect four. Loved that game.
7) Taylor needs one more fight before title bout. I've never actually been in a physical fight (if you exclude my sibling throw downs).
8) Taylor needs just eight points to become UCF's all-time leading scorer at the Division I level. HA! You hear that Kiefers! You'll be seeing me on UFC soon.
9) Taylor needs you guys in Zavalla! I wikipedia'd Zavalla and it is a town of 600 in east Texas. I will not be needing you there any time in the near future.
10) Taylor needs to move on. A good one to end on.

Taste of the Nation
Stephanie Martin and I are the chairs of the 2009 Taste of the Nation Arizona event which will raise money for hungry kiddos in Arizona.
We're doing a lot of social networking to spread the word, so if you get a friend request or twitter following announcement be sure to accept!
Our web site should be up and running at the end of next week....I'll keep everyone updated.
Our ticket prices for this year will be SIGNIFICANTLY lower because of our horrible economy, so we hope to see all you there and hope to have the best tickets sales EVER!

Work It Out
I'm really tired of my gym music. I think we should come up with an excel database of the ultimate workout songs. Anyone want to play my fun music game?

happy BK day
Happy BK Day! Ben Kweller's new album comes out today and I'm very excited. My brother, Jacqueline and I have been Ben Kweller fans for a long time and have traveled far and wide to see his shows! Included in this blog are highlights of our trips to NYNY and Tucson to see him perform. We all look disgusting in the NYNY pictures because it was August and humid and sticky and hot and blech.
After the first show I left my purse at the subway stop in Brooklyn. We didn't realize it until the subway doors closed and we started moving. We booked it back to the last station, ran into a police department (It totally looked like law and order and there was a shooting being called in which made my trip) and then a nice man came up to me with my purse! It is a crazy story...... Anyway, Spencer was a little irritated with me for losing a purse on vacation in NY so this is him ignoring me on the subway ride from the concert back to Manhattan.
Angry faces because I was taking too many pictures
